Ubuntu 14.04 lts kernel1/20/2023 ![]() Linux Kernel 3.13, the one used by both Ubuntu v14.04 and v12.04, includes a bug that allows a malicious user to run programs as an administrator. We are talking about a Linux kernel update for both versions, both LTS or Long Term Support, which corrects a security flaw of those that are not very dangerous but it is better not to have them in any operating system. Or well, this is the theory, because the version released in April 2012 received support this week. Ubuntu 12.04 stopped receiving support 4 years and 11 months ago. ![]() Ubuntu 14.04 will be discontinued on April 30.
